Brandon is originally from Kentucky but he spent much of his youth growing up here in RVA. He was a health and physical education teacher, but after marrying Alia and working small reno jobs on the side, he realized that his natural gift for constructing just about anything was actually a viable business opportunity, and he decided to make a go of it to see where things would lead. Any one of our clients will attest, Brandon is fastidious about his craft - meticulous in all ways and ready to go the extra mile to bring each project to the next level. He's not satisfied unless his work is perfect. To decompress after a long day and to escape the house full of rescue animals that Alia continues to adopt, he spends time in his massive "he shed" watching a game - any game. And you'll never see a bigger smile on his face than when he's with his three kids.

Alia mostly grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, but she's also lived in Iowa, Chicago, New York, and Arkansas. After earning her second masters degree at Columbia University, she worked as a social worker in the Bronx. Her career would take a quick turn, though, after she met Brandon at a wedding. Not long afterwards, they tied the knot themselves and started working small reno jobs on the side. Alia's passion for renovations began when she was in high school, and she saw an opportunity for her and Brandon to foster their creativity and become entrepreneurs. With her hustle and grit and Brandon's skills, they slowly built the business they take pride in today. In the midst of it all, they managed to have three adorable children, adopt four senior rescue dogs, a handful of chickens - also all seniors, and a cat! With names like Joey, Louie, Frankie and Mocha Josefina, they are toothless pint sized furry mobsters that all wear diapers. It's a sight to see! A long time vegan, Alia is passionate about protecting animals. She's the heartbeat of the business and tirelessly juggles more than anyone we know.

Sadly, Jamie wasn’t wearing his overalls the day we took his photo, but we’re glad we caught him accessorizing with his visor and pencil over the ear. We tease, but we do appreciate his attention to detail, and we tend to find out at the end of a project that Jamie has gone out of his way to do something kind for our clients without being asked. Must be those Oklahoma manners or the fact that he was raised in a military family with a Navy Seal father who did three tours in Vietnam. He started in the construction business by laying tile at the age of fourteen, and here we are today. Once a skate rat, now he’s married and the proud dad of a son and daughter. You’d never know by his consistent good humor and mild manner that he deals with daily pain from several back surgeries. Like all our crew, he gets a 10/10 for being one of the nicest people we know.

Whitney is our behind the scenes magic maker Office Manager and Design Assistant working closely with Alia on navigating the red tape of permit applications, scheduling, conducting project prep meetings, final walk throughs, and helping make the impossible possible. She's born and raised in RVA and enjoys slowly DIY'ing home renos and hunting for quality furniture pieces at estate sales with her husband. Prior to working with Adlich, Whitney spent eleven years as a professional organizer supporting clients in managing their clutter and creating visual and functional sense of their space. When we asked Whitney if she had one defining experience that made a lasting impact on her, she told us about the year she spent in Israel upon graduation from college volunteering with children whose ages ranged from elementary to high school. The people, the culture, the community made a deep impression on her, and she carries those values with her in all that she does.
